Rayan Lawrence Biography


Rayan Lawrence was raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, he excelled in basketball and football at a very competitive level.  A star athlete, he was nominated for all city in high school.  With dreams to
go pro, he  was scouted by many high schools and colleges for his
exceptional skills in sports. However, his parents decided that he
should focus more on academics than sports.  His career goals would take
an indefinite turn in his senior year of high school during a big
fashion show.   Shy and unconfident, this would all change once he
strut onto the runway to the deafening applause of a crowd cheering for
him.  Modeling became the stepping stone that would lead Rayan to his
passion for acting.  In his first commercial audition, he landed a spot
for an EPSN PSA. Since then, the budding star has appeared in numerous
films "Honor Deffered" narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and hosted by Bernie Mac, "Back Stab" director (Ricardo Sean Thompson), theatre (Mid Summer Night's Dream, Macbeth), music video's (Jay-z "99 problems" 2004 music video of the year), commercials (Nike, ESPN, Dr. Miracals).   Rayan was selected as  one of the twenty national semi finalists for TNT Dramatic Auditions, were he competed against thousands of actors from L.A,
Chicago, and his hometown N.Y to see who is the next big superstar. He also
was nominated for the Irene Ryan compitition for his performance in "A
Mid Summer Night Dream". Rayan is considered to be the next Denzel. It is just a matter of time before Rayan is the next big Hollywood superstar.
